Hotel linen is of great significance to the daily operation of the hotel. Providing customers with clean and hygienic linen can make them feel comfortable and at ease. Therefore, the cleaning process of the new hotel linens before their initial use is of utmost importance.

The new hotel bedding set will contain industrial wastewater and some floating dust particles from the materials remaining in the hotel bedding. The finished products will undergo formaldehyde sterilization but high concentrations of formaldehyde will also remain on the surface of the products. These residual substances are not treated and are compressed and packaged together with the hotel bedding. Washing with water will remove the floating dust and residual substances adhered to the bedding and also make the pile of the bedding fluffy and soft and comfortable. Some cotton hotel bedding will shrink after washing. The hotel bedding after cleaning is relatively clean and tidy, which is also helpful for better washing and sorting later. It is safer and healthier for items used close to the body.

The hotel towels are all transported in compressed packaging. After washing, the pile-like structures on the towels can be made fluffy, removing the loose fibers and stains on the towels, making them more comfortable to use. The new linens are cleaned before use. This is done for two reasons: first, to ensure they are clean and tidy; second, to enhance their comfort and make subsequent washing and sorting easier.

Precautions for the first cleaning of new hotel linens:

1.The new linen should be rinsed before use. For pure white cotton linen, the water temperature during rinsing should be kept below 50 degrees Celsius; otherwise, wrinkles may occur.

2. The pure white linen with colored stripes should be washed at a water temperature below 37 degrees Celsius. Otherwise, it will get stained and affect the whiteness.
3. When all new linen is first washed, there may be a slight amount of loose fibers on the surface. This is a normal phenomenon. After multiple washes, the loose fibers will naturally fall off.
4. To ensure that the whiteness of the linen remains intact, all new linen must not be washed together with the old linen.
